| MONGOLIA |
 |
We personally
tried fishing a few rivers in Mongolia this last year. The
waters are home to the giant salmonoid “the taimen’ only
found in Russia and Mongolia. While on this trip, the fishermen
may run into a few locals and they have lots of good advice
on how to catch that elusive fish. Check out the lures they
use in the photo. Now that’s a mouse pattern! If you
love fishing, this is a destination that needs to be added.
Not only is the fishing for taimen an adventure, just getting
to the rivers is quite the sport! Cost runs around $400/day/person
includes English speaking guides, lodging in local ger, meals,
drinks and ground transfers to the rivers. Best time of year
is late August/early September. |
